Lucie Rice
Rice, originally from Kentucky and a Carmel transplant in 2020, earned her MFA in illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design. After over a decade as a freelance illustrator and designer in Nashville, she developed a unique style blending Southern influences with a love for mid-century design, featuring bright colors, patterns, and textures. Her clients include Google, Purina, ESPN, and Toyota, and she has designed murals for Ole Red locations. Rice has also created public murals across multiple states.
See her work at Fishers Event Center: Rice’s murals at District Eats and on the second-level concourse reflect the venue’s unique spirit, with phrases like "This must be the place" and "You're exactly where you're supposed to be," capturing a sense of community and belonging.
Mike Altman
Mike Altman is a local artist known for transforming recycled materials into striking, sustainable art. His work often breathes new life into discarded objects. For Fishers Event Center, Altman created a series of playful art pieces inspired by the touring acts that perform at the venue.
See his work at Fishers Event Center: Altman’s colorful, quirky figures in the back-of-house green room hallway were created from the cardboard boxes that once housed the arena's seats. These materials, originally destined for disposal, became the canvas for his imaginative creations, honoring both the artists and the venue's history.
